Harvested early from green Moresca and Biancolilla olives and bottled soon after crushing, this limited-edition olive oil captures the true taste of the Sicilian olive harvest.

Fresh and intensely fruity, it reveals pronounced notes of freshly cut grass, aromatic herbs, artichoke, and green almond. The flavor is full-bodied and enveloping, with a lively balance of bitterness and spice that reflects its freshness.

Partially filtered through fine cotton filters that remove only the larger solids, Frescolio maintains a naturally cloudy appearance as smaller olive particles remain suspended. Over time, a light, natural deposit may form at the bottom of the bottle — a hallmark of authentic, minimally filtered olive oils.

Makes me want to go to Sicily

"I'm rather new to the world of good olive oil and this was my first order from oliveoillovers. com. I really enjoy the flavor which is very smooth and not overly bitter. I first tried it with just bread, and sprinkled some of the spice packet into it to dip. The spice packet itself smells and tastes better than any oregano I have ever eaten. I also like it on salads and cooked vegetables. I don't think this bottle is going to last very long 😆 but that's ok because I also bought a bottle from Greece that I will try when I finish this one. Really glad I got this and found this company to order from. The package came pretty quickly and everything was wrapped securely so there was no danger of breakage. Highly recommend."

"This is actually one of my favorite olive oils ever. It has such a great flavor, some hints of almonds and grass, partially unfiltered which gives it more of a punch. I have used it with bread which is awesome, salads fish and meats. Grilled vegetables and pasta. I'm someone who can't have too many breads but with Frantoi Cutrera I have used on cauliflower pizza to add flavor, and it definitely makes it better. It really is one of the best olive oils for adding flavors to foods."

Frantoi Cutrera

For generations the Cutrera family has been dedicating their lives to the cultivation of olive trees and olive oil production, a profession carried on for decades with passion and love that binds the family to its land. The company's origins date back more than a century ago to 1906, when the Cutrera family first began to cultivate and care for their olive trees in Chiaramonte Gulfi, a small town in southeastern Sicily.

In 1979 Giovanni Cutrera, the head of the family, founded the company's first mill with the help of his wife, Mary. Over the years Giovanni's children, Maria, Giusy and Salvatore, joined their Dad on his farm, and in 1999 decided to open a second mill. The Cutrera family pays diligent attention to each stage of olive oil production: harvesting the olives by hand to minimize damage, transporting the olives to the mill within 6 hours, and cold-extracting the oil with scrupulous attention. By maintaining a balance between tradition and innovation, Frantoi Cutrera continues the legacy that the farm's members have been putting into practice for over a century.
