The Bold, Unyielding Character of Coratina
Coratina is Puglia's most celebrated olive variety — bold, characterful, and built for those who love intensity.
Cold-extracted from 100% Coratina olives grown in Northern Puglia and processed within two hours of harvest, this limited-production monocultivar delivers a powerfully fruity oil with rich aromas of fresh-cut grass, artichoke, and tomato vine, finishing with a warm, persistent black pepper note characteristic of Coratina at its finest.
On the palate, it is harmoniously structured — deep secoiridoid bitterness balanced by natural pungency — with a complexity that makes it exceptional raw.
Best enjoyed as a finishing oil drizzled generously over grilled meats, roasted vegetables, legume soups, aged cheese, or pizza.
Part of the Le Monocultivar line — a limited annual production of just 6,000 bottles, each celebrating one of Puglia's three most representative cultivars: Coratina, Peranzana, and Ogliarola.

"Nice flavor. Love the high polyphenols"
"We like this oil with peppery flavor and high polyphenols content. The oil itself pairs good with bread and the hummus I made. It enhances the flavors of the food. The ceramic bottle is well designed and beautiful. It is a good gift for loved ones. The shipping is very fast and safe too."
"Gorgeous bottle. Lush olive oil. I'm hooked. Drizzled on grilled sourdough and whipped feta oh my. I'll order again."
"I absolutely LOVE this olive oil! It's robust and delicious. The bottle, itself, shows thought and effort. I brought it to my office to sprinkle on vegetables and enjoy a little taste by itself now and then. I would leave a photo but don't see where to attach it here. I almost don't want to write this survey because it might make others buy it all up before I get a chance!"
"This is my first Italian evoo , and it definetly will not be the last. The taste was the most organically earthy flavored oil, it was so amazing it literally made me say Wow!!! I bought the coratina because it was listed for its high polyphenol content. Besides the healthful awesome contents, it even comes in a ceramic bottle, and I’ll be reusing it for my 5 L tin evoo that we use daily for cooking needs. But the Corantina is for my own special needs , including a spoonful every night. An evoo that is high in polyphenols can be as effective for inflamtion relief according to studies as ibuprofen !!! 👍 Anyway as usual the packaging is always superb and my orders arrive in perfect condition as if I picked it up myself to bring home . Thanks olive oil lovers , and all the employees that make the company what it is !!!"
"I like the robust-intensity of this olive oil that is high in polyphenols. I also love the beautiful ceramic bottle."
"I really like this one. It was so fresh o thought I was eating the olives. And it also reminds me of grass in a good way."
"I use this on all my food and it pairs well with Meyer Lemons. I will be glad when it is restocked"
"Beat olive oil so far and very high in Polyphenols. Getting ready to order my second bottle."
"I purchased this olive oil specifically for its high polyphenol count, and the difference in taste compared to lower-polyphenol olive oils is noticeable. It has a delightful peppery flavor and is scrumptious overall. I've already bought a second bottle, as well as another high-polyphenol variety from the same company."

MADE FOR YOU BY
Olio Guglielmi
Located in the renowned production area of Andria, Puglia in the Castel del Monte territory, Fratelli Guglielmi and his family have been producing outstanding extra virgin olive oils since 1954.
Combining both tradition and modern technology with careful attention to every stage of the cultivation and production process, Fratelli Guglielmi produces extra virgin olive oils of the highest quality, pressing their olives no more than 12 hours after harvesting. Thanks to the care and passion for the land and its fruits, the Guglielmi family continues to gain recognition for their outstanding oils.
We are always here to help.
It is a proven fact that in just eight hours of close exposure to strong fluorescent lights, a bottle of olive oil packed in a clear glass bottle will be totally destroyed, having lost its color, flavors, and aromas.
While oil packed in a dark glass bottle offers considerably better protection, it too becomes vulnerable when exposed to strong light and can be completely destroyed in less than a week, which makes purchasing olive oil in a supermarket a less than desirable prospect.
Beyond that, the vast majority of the oils sold in the USA have inadequate or even misleading labels. The consumer is given little to no information as to where the oil was actually produced or from what variety of olives it was made, but most importantly, when the oil was harvested.
Simply put, the best olive oils are extra virgin olive oils. However, adulteration of extra virgin olive oil has been a hot topic in the past and present, and many studies continue to examine the contents inside a bottle of olive oil. This problem still persists in the industry, especially at the supermarket level.
That's why we created Olive Oil Lovers: to bring some of the world's best olive oils from the most trusted producers to the U.S. market. All of our producers are quality-driven in their manufacturing practices.
We also conduct intensive screening of every producer and product on our site—often visiting their estates and seeing their practices firsthand—and accept only producers who meet our high standards.
To go the extra mile, all of our imported oils are proven extra virgin through chemical analysis in accordance with strict European Union regulations. Therefore, you can trust that any oil you purchase from us at Olive Oil Lovers will be genuine, 100% extra virgin olive oil.
There are two dates that producers may choose to print on a bottle, using either one or both. The "Use By" date is what our producers put on their products to say, "use when at its freshest quality." The taste and quality of the oil don't typically diminish over time, though, unless it is open and exposed to oxygen.
The "Harvest Date" is when the olives for the oil were actually picked and crushed. This date can be any time between late October and mid-December for the Northern Hemisphere, and these new harvest olive oils begin to arrive in the United States in February and March of the following year.
For oils from the Southern Hemisphere, from countries such as Chile or South Africa, harvest occurs any time between late April and mid-June.
While this answer can vary depending on the olive variety, time of harvest, and how the product is stored, in general, an extra virgin olive oil will retain much of its flavor and aromas for 18–30 months in an unopened container.
However, any exposure to light and/or oxygen will begin to degrade the oil. Once opened, olive oil should ideally be consumed within 1–2 months, with a maximum of perhaps 4–6 months. When purchasing a 3L or 5L tin, if the oil is typically not consumed within this timeframe, we recommend decanting the oil into smaller, sealed containers and storing it in a cool, dark place.
Olive oils with higher polyphenol counts will have a longer shelf life. Higher polyphenol numbers are the result of both the olive variety and when the olive was harvested. Green olives harvested early in the season produce less oil but have higher polyphenol counts than oils from ripe olives. You can find the polyphenol counts for many of our extra virgin olive oils listed on their product pages.
